Georgette S. Ingellis

Georgette (Dumais) Ingellis, 95, of Bristol, widow of Angelo V. Ingellis, died on Sunday (June 1, 2025) at Sharon Health Center.
Georgette was born on June 23, 1929 in Lewiston, ME and was one of four children of the late Lorenzo and Marian (Bolduc) Dumais and step-daughter of the late Angie Dumais. She lived in Lewiston until her family moved to Bristol when she was 14. A graduate of Bristol High School, she worked in the meat department at the former Mott's Supermarket.
She was a fabulous cook who enjoyed caring for her family.
Georgette is survived by three sons: David Ingellis of Surprise, AZ, Marc Ingellis and his wife, Jody, of Melbourne, FL and John Ingellis and his wife, Suzanne, of Kent; son-in-law: Paul Melnick of Bristol; sister: Dolores Gonzales of Bristol; brother: Paul Dumais and wife, Rose of East Hartford; step-sister: Barbara Coleman of Southington;
ten grandchildren: Peter and Robert Melnick, Jenna, Angelina, Christina, Thomas, Lyndsay and John Ingellis, William Campbell and Charlie Miles;
four great grandchildren: Lilith and Evelyn Ingellis and Jackson and Zoe Melnick; several loving nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was predeceased by her daughter: Karen Melnick, and a sister: Lorraine Walsh.
A private funeral will be held at Funk Funeral Home, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "BFD Charity" c/o Bristol Firefighters Local 773, PO Box 984, Bristol, CT 06010.
