Georgette C. Ranauro

Georgette (Levasseur) C. Ranauro,"Gigi", 93, of East Falmouth, MA formerly of Southborough, MA passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Born in Lewiston, ME on November 6, 1932. Daughter of the late Leonide (Landry) and Donat Levasseur.

A graduate of St. Dominic's H.S., Lewiston, ME. Georgette was proud of her French-Canadian heritage and was a devoted Catholic. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish in Falmouth, MA.

After waitressing for several years in local restaurants, Georgette became the manager of a Brigham's Ice Cream shop in downtown Framingham, eventually becoming the franchise owner of the store. While there she made many friends for the more than ten years she worked there.

Georgette was a practicing artist and was a member of the local art association in Southborough for many years.

She loved flowers and took great pride in making her garden the pride of the neighborhood.

A lover of all Boston sports teams, she was an especially avid fan of the Boston Celtics.

Her proudest achievement was raising her four children alongside her husband, Pat. Georgette fulfilled a lifelong dream when she retired to Cape Cod with her husband in 1986.

For 42 years she was the beloved wife of Patrick J. Ranauro who passed away in 1994. Devoted mother of Mark Ranauro and his wife Elise, of Laguna Niguel, CA, Bill Ranauro and his wife Lisa of Walpole, NH, Ronald Ranauro and his wife, Amy of Auburn, MA, and Carole-Jean Ranauro of Falmouth, MA. Adored grandmother of Kyle Ranauro and his wife Shelly of Corona, CA, Daniel Ranauro and his wife Jenna, and Emily Ranauro and her husband Eric Poulin, all of Dover, NH, Rose Ranauro and her husband Phil Fryer of Jamaica Plain, MA, Nicholas Ranauro of Brooklyn, NY, Patrick Ranauro of Worcester, MA, and Tyler Ranauro of Falmouth, MA and one great- grandchild Charlie. Dear sister of the late George and Maurice Levasseur.

Visitation will be held at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave., (Rt.151), Mashpee on Tuesday, December 30 from 10AM-11AM. Services will be held at 11AM. Burial will follow at MA National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA at 12:45PM.
