Georgia Jean Cook Harris passed away June 3, 2025 at the age of 70. She was born July 20, 1954 in Greensboro, Alabama to the late Thomas Wesley Cook and Judith Irene Duncan Cook.

She was preceded in death by her step-mothers, Helen Cook; beloved mother-in-law, Thelma Chapman; sister, Linda McCormick; brother, Timothy Cook; brothers-in-law, Milton McCormick and David Harris.

She is survived by her husband, Marcus Edward Harris, Jr.; brother, Raymond (Kay) Cook, Curtis (Janie) Cook, Charles (Susan) Cook and Roger (Missy) Cook and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Georgia loved her family and always enjoyed family "get-togethers."

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Plantersville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Cook, Michael Cook, Scott Cook, Cody Chapman, Charles Cook, Roger Cook, Raymond Cook, Curtis Cook and Jonathan Cook.

In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
