GEORGIA KAY With great sadness, the family of Georgia Kay, 87, our Mother and beacon of light, announces her departure from this world in the early morning hours of 31 July, 2025, succumbing to natural causes. Georgia journeyed thru life with an unforgettable determination, gentleness and strength built thru life experiences unique to her. Formerly a resident of Moorestown for many many years, Georgia devoted her time to raising a large family and enjoyed volunteering her time for the many ( Moorestown Chapter of Deborah Charity) bake sales of the late '70's and mid "80's. In more recent years, while living with daughter Lois, Georgia was an avid reader while being deeply involved in day to day activities of family...something she never tired of. Married 45 years to the late Harvey E. Kay Jr., survived by children Harvey E. Kay III, Donald J. Kay (Joanne), Martin G. Kay, Robin D. Kay, Lois Filoon and the late Charles "Chucky" J. Kay. Georgia was also the proud Matriarch of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Born Georgia Alice Shinn in Atlantic City (1938) to George J. Shinn, Sr and Sarah E. (Baker) Shinn of Burlington County, NJ and survived by sister Joyce Stiehl and those preceding the deceased include sister's Gloria Hiittner, Sarah J. Bean, and brother George Shinn Jr. A small private service was held prior to cremation and a Memorial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it is asked to please send a small donation to ones own charity of choice. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Georgia Alice Kay, please visit our Tree Store.
