Georgia Lee Shortridge-Brownlow

November 4, 1959 – August 21, 2025

Georgia Lee Shortridge-Brownlow, age 65, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on August 21, 2025. Born on November 4, 1959, on Pepperrell Air Force Base in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, Georgia lived a life full of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Georgia was a devoted homemaker and a loving caretaker, especially dedicated to her late husband, Tony Brownlow. She had a deep love for animals and was known for rescuing and caring for those in need-both animals and people alike. Her generosity touched many, especially those experiencing homelessness, and she was always quick to offer help, a warm smile, or a kind word.

She is survived by her mother, Sheron Moore; her beloved son, Jason Shortridge, and his wife Allie; and her cherished grandchildren: Heather Shortridge, Blake Anson, Aubrey Shortridge, and Tabor Shortridge. Georgia also leaves behind her dear siblings: Katrina Shortridge, and Rob Moore.

Georgia had a vibrant personality-outgoing, vocal, and full of life. She found joy in simple pleasures like gardening, grocery shopping, and couponing. Her passion for nurturing things, whether plants, pets, or people, was evident in all she did.

A celebration of Georgia's life will be held on September 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Crossings Church. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

In honor of Georgia's lifelong love for animals and her generous spirit, donations can be made to a local animal rescue or homeless shelter in her memory.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
