Gerald “Jerry” Anter was 54 years old when he suddenly passed away on March 23rd, 2024. He is survived by his son Maxwell Anter, his mother Diane Giacabone (John), sisters Angela Vanmeter (Jimmy) and Andrea Anter, and nieces Lauren Sobat and Jenna Sobat. He was predeceased by his father Gerald N. Anter.

Jerry was born in Akron, Ohio. He truly lived life to the fullest. In his youth he was a phenomenal baseball player, and continued to follow and enjoy sports throughout his lifetime. He was a man with a genuine talent for crafting, fixing, and repairing. There was not a project he couldn’t complete when he set his mind to it. Jerry was also a culinary wizard who was constantly able to woo and charm those who tasted his food. Every Sunday he would invite his family and friends over for a traditional-style meal as a way of staying connected with those close to him. He was not only a family man, but also a man of great dedication and work ethic - he was self-made. Often boasting about retiring at 40, he built up his legacy with his own two hands putting countless hours into his dream. Jerry was a devoted and charismatic man who always livened up a room when he entered it. He was loved and will be truly missed by all those that knew him, especially his family.  Arrangements entrusted to Adams Mason Funeral Home (330) 535-9186
