Gerald Barker and I were fellow shipmates serving aboard the USS Sperry AS-12, in the machine shop. Sperry was a submarine tender that serviced and repaired various systems aboard Diesel and Nuclear powered submarines based in San Diego, California. Gerald will be missed by many, he was a good man and friend, Craig Green.
