Gerald G. Bellan, Jr. of Willingboro, NJ, passed away on May 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59 years old.
Son of the late Gerald G., Sr. and Elaine A. Bellan, Jerry was born September 21, 1965, in Trenton, NJ. He was raised in Hamilton, NJ, attended Steinert High School and graduated in 1983. He was a member and past Master Councilor of Capital Chapter Order of DeMolay, as well as a Master Mason, and former member of the Clown Unit of the Shriners organization. One of his most cherished contributions was playing Santa Claus for many years for the Shriners Hospital for Children. Jerry was a professional baker for his entire career at Bake Fair Bakery in Ewing NJ, starting at the age of 15. He was an avid dog lover and loved to read and learn about history. He was also a lover of Disney and enjoyed taking trips to Disney with the love of his life Mary and the family. Recently, one of his greatest accomplishments was becoming a published author of the book, Nursing Home Confidential. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by the love of his life Mary Joyce, his sister and brother-in-law, Noreen and Richard Schwinger, his beloved dog Violet, his uncle and aunt, Mark and Joanne Wetherbee, family Patrick and Anne Brady, and his best friend and wife, Kurt and Dawn Zimmerman, as well and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday May 31, 2025 at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Church 11 S. Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Jerry's family from 9:30am-10:30am at the Church prior to the start of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to either St. Jude’s Children Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate, or to Deborah Heart and Lung Center at www.deborahfoundation.org/donate/ or to a local animal shelter of your choosing.
