Gerald "Jerry" L. Billman, 90, of Stone Creek, passed away Sunday, April 7th, at the Northwood Inn. Born in Stone Creek, Ohio on January 25, 1934, a son of the late Harry and Edith (Leonhard) Billman, also preceded in death by sister Nita, 3 brothers Jimmy, Jan, and Wayne "Tug". Jerry graduated from Stone Creek high school in 1952 and worked as a Mason/bricklayer. He was Captain of the Tusc County Mounted Deputies for 55 years, joining in 1963. Survived by daughter Christine Street, of Stone Creek; 2 sons Reb (Denise) Billman, of Newcomerstown, and Randy (Francie) Billman, of Ashtabula; 5 grandchildren Melissa Street, Derik (Alicia) Billman, Denelle (Chad) Caudy, Luke (Jessica) Billman, and NiTosha (Dallas) Murray; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Stone Creek Cemetery Saturday, May 25th followed by a celebration of life at 1 PM at the Tuscarawas County fair grounds.

I'm so proud to say Jerry was my friend and former classmate. We had such fun times in high school, being the only 2 boys in our graduating class. He gave so much to the community and loved what he did without realizing his accomplishments. Rest in Peace, Jerry!
