Longtime resident of Nashua, NH, Gerald J. Buxton, 65, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2026 from the flu.
Gerald was born in Maine on October 23, 1959, the son of Robert Elwood Buxton and Jeannette Rose Fortier. He was the middle child of six siblings from combined families with three older brothers, and one older and one younger sister. He was most recently employed at Denny's of Nashua.
Gerald was deeply loving and loyal. He spent the majority of his life graciously caring for his mother, Jeannette, who had health and mobility issues. People will remember his warm smile and great laugh and his willingness to always lend a hand.
Gerald loved the Patriots! Friends have many fond memories of watching football with him as well as professional wrestling. He also loved hunting and music like classic rock and The Grateful Dead. He loved all animals, especially cats. For the past ten years he enjoyed making beautiful memories with his wife, Crystal Dwyer, whom he loved dearly.
Gerald was predeceased by his father, Robert Buxton (Date Unknown); brother-in-law, Paul Center (1995), sister-in-law, Deborah Fortier (2016); brother, Paul ("Bobby") Buxton (2017); sister-in-law, Rena Buxton (2018); sister, Carol Stewart Center (2019); mother, Jeannette Fortier Stewart (2021); nephew, Dan DeGelan (2022), nephew, Justin Fortier (2023), and step-brother, Brent Stewart (2025).
