Gerald Paul "Jerry" Dindia

Gerald (Jerry) Dindia entered eternal rest, peacefully surrounded by family on November 13th, 2025 at the age of 86.
Jerry was born into a family of Sicilian immigrants, from whom he learned the importance of faith, family, food, and hard work. He spent his childhood in Ladd's Addition and attended St. Philip Neri Catholic School. After graduating from Central Catholic High School, he attended the University of Portland, where he met his wife of 25 years and the mother of his children, Terry. He began working in the family produce business at a young age alongside his father at Pioneer Fruit before finding his own path as a skilled builder and business owner.
Jerry had a successful career as an entrepreneur. He opened a body shop to build and repair cars and later transitioned into real estate development. However, his true pride was always his family. He dedicated his life to them and had a remarkable gift for giving his time. He involved his children and grandchildren in every aspect of his life-both work and play. He kept his loved ones close by teaching them the many trades he had mastered. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, woodworking, metalworking, and could create art out of any material he touched. He remained an avid skier for nearly his entire life and loved to travel.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children Mark (Lynne), Matt (Jayme), LuAnne (Jim), Lynelle (Jason), and Larry; as well as four stepchildren he loved as his own; seventeen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Marguerite and August; his siblings, Helen and Don; and his grandson, Anthony.
A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 on Saturday December 13th at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church
