Gerald Duckett Obituary
Born in Clearfield, he was a son of the late George and Zoe Duckett. He was the oldest of 10 children.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shelby McDonald Duckett; sons, Mark (Linda) Duckett, David (Sharon) Duckett; daughters, Patty (Ronald) Rager and Mary Beth (Scott) Fye; stepdaughters, Rachel (Steve) Tracey, Sheri (Mark) Ball, and Brenda (Steve) LeMay; four sisters; Judy, Linda, Debbie, Kim and their spouses; three brothers Ronnie, Mike, and Scott and their spouses, along with numerous nieces and nephews; 16 grandchildren, and multiple generations of great grandchildren.
Gerald was a 1956 graduate of Clearfield High School and a 1960 graduate of Penn State University.
Gerald had a distinguished career in the coal industry, traveling worldwide and serving various roles.
Along with his parents Gerald was proceeded in death by his first wife, Jane Duckett; two siblings, Roger and George Jr.; grandson, Adam Fye; stepdaughter, Rhonda Arnold; brothers-in-law, John Graham and Kevin McDonald; and sister-inlaw, Kemberly Duckett.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Oak Park Church of the Brethren 110 Church Lane, Oakland, MD 21550 with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.
