Gerald (Jerry) Glenn passed away peacefully at home amongst his family, Sunday, November 17, 2024 in Bluffton, SC.
His career took him to many areas that brought him such joy. He was born in Chicago, and Kansas City, suburbs of Chicago, New Jersey and Hilton Head/Bluffton were all called "home."
His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Jerry continued to keep busy and stayed strong to the end.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Audrey, his daughter Lori Glenn, and his sister
Sherele Hackbert and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry took such pride on his life's experiences, friendships and acquaintances. He served in the Army at an early age and in his career in sales for Nabisco, he retired as Director of Sales. After he retired, he headed to the Low Country to put his skills to work in sales and opened a unique gift shop, the Cinnamon Bear Country Store which led to many retail establishments including Legends Sports Gallery and Reminisce.
He would spread joy and excitement whenever gourmet foods, antique advertising, Scottie dogs and his passion, baseball were discussed. A true historian for Americana.
He shared his knowledge and expertise with Monty Jett on the radio weekly in the late 90's and 2000's and wrote a column for the Bluffton Sun on collectibles in recent years.
Jerry will be remembered for the love and passion he shared with so many.
A private family memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
