CASTLEWOOD, VIRGINIA – Gerald Lee Grizzle, 69, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
He was born in
Lebanon, Virginia; the son of the late Lacy and Cleo Pansy Amburgey Grizzle. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cristen Chafin; two brothers; and one sister.
Gerald loved to spend time with his family, especially on holidays, because he got to spend time with his grandchildren. He loved to work and was a master carpenter, building several homes in the local community, but for the past decade, he has worked exclusively for Ronnie and Connie Milton.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Grizzle; four daughters, Amy Mullins and husband, Tony of
Castlewood, Virginia, Jennifer Cumbee and husband, Chris of
Castlewood, Virginia, Jessica Hardin and husband, Matt of
Meadowview, Virginia, and Meagan Thacker and husband, Jeremiah of
Castlewood, Virginia; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several close friends whom he thought of as brothers, the Barnette family; close friends, Granville and Joey Mooney; and several nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023, at Castlewood Funeral Home,
Castlewood, Virginia.
