Gerald Anton "Jerry" Guinesso, 69, of Auburn, NH, died Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on February 4, 1956 in Lawrence, MA, a son of Carl and Erika (Maraszek) Guinesso.

Jerry grew up in Auburn, NH on his family farm and had lots of stories about the history of the area and having to wait for cattle to cross the road. He proudly worked for Goss Lumber in Henniker, NH for 49 years. Jerry was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He also enjoyed metal detecting with his wife. While always excited to find horseshoes, old coins and other historical items, the most treasure he found was the time he spent with his family. He was known for his ability to fix anything, willingness to help, and his plethora of knowledge of the local area. Anyone who spent just a few minutes with Jerry found a lifelong friend.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn (Bedard) Guinesso of Auburn; two daughters, Michelle (Frank) Spigner of Lexington, SC, Amanda (Terry) Johnson of Sumter, SC; son, Gerald "Guy" Guinesso, Jr. of Bristol, NH; step-daughter, Casey (Justin) Besancon of Lowell, MA; step-son, Cody (Sydney) Bythewood of Concord, NH; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda C. Almeida of Hooksett, NH, Angela (Mark) Barnby of Auburn; brother, Carl (Kathy) Guinesso of Auburn; and his Honorary Nephew, Jim (Erica) Guinesso of Auburn as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to the NH Wildlife Heritage Foundation https://nhwildlifeheritage.org/donate. All donations in Jerry's name will be earmarked for the Barry Conservation Camp to promote youth conservation and hunting practices.
