Gerald was born on May 18, 1947 and passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Gerald was a resident of Maiden, North Carolina at the time of passing. Left to cherish his memory: Wife of 25 years, Vanessa Franklin Henley of the home Son: Darin P. Henley and wife Samantha of Maiden 2 Brothers: Charles "Gene" Henley and wife JoAnne of Denver; Giles Henley and wife Patricia of Lincolnton Sisters: Linda Helton of Mt. Holly I Granddaughter and 3 Great-Grandchildren The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden with Pastor Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden. Memorials may be made to: Friendly Chapel Baptist Church, 6815 E. NC 150 Hwy., Maiden, NC 28650 or Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092 Burke Mortuary in Maiden is serving the Henley Family.
