Gerald John LaBaff Sr., passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born on May 25, 1945, in Norfolk, NY, to Levi J. LaBaff, Sr, and Blanche Mary Oshier LaBaff. Gerald made his way to Indiana, where he poured his heart into his work and cherished his family.
Gerald was known for his skills as a handyman, always ready to lend a helping hand or tackle a challenging project. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like fishing at local spots and wandering through flea markets, where he could often be found searching for hidden treasures or enjoying the camaraderie of fellow treasure hunters.
He leaves behind his family, including his sons Gerald LaBaff Jr., Kenny LaBaff Sr. and Kevin (Kim) Newton and his daughters Connie Phillips and Jenny Lee, daughter Sandy Miller and Heather (Steven) Plance as well as his ex-wife and caregiver, Anne LaBaff. Gerald is also survived by his brother, Levi LaBaff, and sister, Melody and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Connie LaBaff, brothers, Steve, George and Leonard LaBaff and his step-mother, Loretta LaBaff.
