Gerald Joseph Lorenz

Gerald was born on November 8, 1933 and passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Gerald was a resident of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota at the time of passing. He was raised and educated in Langdon, graduating from St. Alphonsus Catholic High School. In 1953, he was drafted into the United States Army. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 8 at 12pm in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Detroit Lakes. Visitation will be held Friday, June 7 from 5pm-7pm with a 6:30pm Rosary followed by a Prayer Service at 7pm. Visitation will also continue one hour prior to services on Saturday. Jerry was a past member of the Detroit Lakes Fire Department, lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the Detroit Lakes Fire Department at 1025 Roosevelt Ave. Detroit Lakes, MN 56501 or to Holy Rosary Knights of Columbus at 1043 Lake Ave. Detroit Lakes, MN 56501.
