Dad´s obituary covers many of the important times in his life! As I was reading through it, after it had been submitted, it occurred to me that a very important part had inadvertently been left out. After dad´s mom passed away, his dad, George, remarried back in Utah. George and Marvel had four children- Jean, Ken, Rae and Bobby. Even though dad lived in California, he was able to meet his half siblings and eventually have a relationship with that side of the family. I remember as a child traveling to Salt Lake City for a summer McClellan family reunion and meeting A LOT of extended family! Dad kept in touch with his siblings over the years, and especially enjoyed his conversations with his sister Jean and her daughter Shawna. All of his siblings predeceased him.

I met Jerry when I worked at Corona del Mar High School. He was one of the kindest and finest men I have ever met! He had a great sense of humor and when you talked to him, he would look at you and listen to you, making you feel like you were worth listening to! A marvelous person through and through

I first met Jerry when I was a student at CDM .
He was always friendly and during lunch he would walk around the campus making sure we were behaving !
Much later in life I became a neighbor and lived a few houses down on Serenade Terrace .
Jerry was always friendly and gracious with a ready smile and whenever I would see him walking in the neighborhood it would make my day a little brighter.
God bless is sweet soul

Jerry always made me feel important as a member of his extended family. His wife´s brother was married to my mom´s sister. His children shared cousins with me and we were all entwined for a large part of our youth and young adulthood. Jerry was kind and loving. I always felt he had my back during high school, even when he caught me smoking in the parking lot! His smile was warm, his hugs welcoming and he made a difference in the lives of many, including me. I especially enjoyed swimming with him recently-reunited after many many years and it felt as if no time had passed. He will be missed.
