Gerald L. McDougal

Gerald "Jerry" Lee McDougal of Cortland died on Thursday September 8, 2011 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was 59 years old. Mr. McDougal was born in Warren on April 23, 1952 and was a graduate of Western Reserve High School. Jerry worked as a welder for Peerless Win-Smith for more than thirty-years before his retirement. In his leisure time he enjoyed horseback riding and martial arts. Jerry is survived by his two daughters Jayme McDougal of Brookfield, and Carrisa Dority and her husband Scott of Cortland; two brothers Ronald McDougal and Timmy McDougal; and by his grandchildren Austin and Abigail Dority. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Josephine L. (McCracken) McDougal. Per Jerry's wishes no services or calling hours will be held. Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland handled the arrangements.
