LYNN HAVEN, FL - Gerald Thomas Miller ("Jerry"), age 81, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away at his home on November 19, 2025, surrounded by his three sons.
Born on May 28, 1944, in Sidney, Ohio, Jerry was the son of Gerald S. Miller and Grace O. Miller (McBee). He graduated from Sidney High School in 1962, where he proudly played trumpet in the marching band. Jerry later attended Electronic Computer Programming Institute, where he discovered his interest in computer programming-a passion that shaped his lifelong career. He retired in 2005 from A.O. Smith Corporation as a Systems Analyst.
Jerry's life was rich with love, family, and adventure. He treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, motorcycling, woodworking, serving at his church, and sharing countless memories with the many friends he made over the years.
On Saint Patrick's Day at a school dance, Jerry met the love of his life, Carol Rose Robinson of Fairlawn High School. They married on March 20, 1965, and shared 58 years of devotion until Carol's passing on August 5, 2023. Together they built a beautiful life in Piqua and Tipp City, Ohio, later embracing their retirement years in Lynn Haven, Florida.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, George M. Miller and William H. Miller; and his beloved wife, Carol.
He is survived by his three sons, Jerry Miller (Ellen), Jason Miller (Ty), and Alex Miller (Melissa); eight grandchildren-Ellen, Chloe, CJ, Owen, Olivia, Maryn, Reese, and Laney; and four great-grandchildren-Elijah, Hope, Easton, and Silas.
A celebration of Jerry and Carol's life will be held from 11:00am until 2pm with service beginning at 1pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Frings and Bayliff funeral home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, followed by food and fellowship at Harrison's, 106 E. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Carol, at Graceland Memorial Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio.
