On September 14, 2024, God called home Gerald Lee Pannell, Sr. after his lengthy battle with Cancer. Gerald was born October 16, 1959, in Concord VA, to the late James Pannell & Marie Prunty. He was proceeded in death by his sister Babara Jean Pannell.

Gerald was a God-fearing devoted Husband, Father, Brother, & Friend. During his Life Gerald was employed for twenty plus years at each Smith- Wimer & US Griffen Pipe. Gerald enjoyed watching his 49ers play. Also, cars brought him joy from racing to fixing them. He really enjoyed that Slingshot "His retirement toy" he called it. Gerald enjoyed working outside in the yard. He love being with his family and friends more than anything.

Gerald leaves to enjoy his fond memories of his life, His Wife, Tara Pannell of The Home. His sons, Gerald Lee Pannell, Jr. (Teresa) of Atlanta, Ga, Cedric Andrew Pannell of Lynchburg, VA, Rocky Pannell (Pet). His Sister, Alberta Anita Pannell, & Brother Douglas Leon Pannell both of Lynchburg Va. Twelve Grandchildren & One Great grandchild. His Grandmother in Law Essie Marks of High Point, NC. Three Aunts, Lillian Freshman of Spout Spring, Avlene Johnson, & Christine Jones both Lynchburg. Two Uncles, Micheal & Steven Jones both of Lynchburg, Va. Also, a host of Beloved Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.

A memorial service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg, on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 12:30 P.M.
