Gerald Partch

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for Gerald N. Partch of Springfield, who died Feb. 29 of age-related causes. He was 92. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. He was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Toledo, Wash., to Marion and Zella Taylor Partch. He married Anna Reuther on 1941 in Chehalis, Wash. She died June 16, 2000. He then married Elnora Malpass. He graduated from Toledo High School in 1939. He served in the Navy during World War II, from 1944-1945. He worked as a logger all of his life in Elkton, Lorane and Eugene. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ron of Portland; two daughters, Donna Long of Springfield and Diane Zaske of Milwaukie; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Richard Partch, died previously. Private burial will be at in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Springfield.Arrangements by Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield.
