Was one of the best animators of all time.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Gerald Potterton. He wrote and directed "The Rainbow Boys", a low budget Canadian film made in 1973. I'm serious when I say this .... this is my favourite all-time film! I have a VHS copy that I treasure dearly (taped off air in the mid-80's). You can have your big-budget extravaganzas with the A-list stars, give me "The Rainbow Boys" any day. And of course I love the work that he did with Buster Keaton and the stories of Stephen Leacock too.
OK, I have to go watch "The Rainbow Boys" now, for the umpteenth time.

It was my birthday and I received a gift package of the Movie Heavy Metal, the soundtrack and an animation cell. I almost immediately framed the cell and fondly remember it as one of my favorite animated films. My heartfelt condolences and well wishes for his family.
