Gerald Dewayne Rainey, 71 of Benton, KY died on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born Sunday, November 30, 1952, in Princeton, IN, he was the son of the late Donald and Mable (Stone) Rainey.
Gerald retired as a supervisor for Texas Gas. He was a member of Benton Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Briensburg-T.L. Jefferson F & AM Masonic Lodge #401. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Knights Commander Court of Honors. Gerald was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, sporting clays and was an avid hunter. He loved their Havanese puppy Izzie. She was just as special but didn't replace little Susie Bell that he'd already lost.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie (Rickman) Rainey two daughters, Melissa Nall Ross husband Rick of Floyds Knob, IN, Paula Nall Laurendine husband Mark of Pace, FL; grandchildren, Garrett Ross wife Libby, Tyler Ross, Madison Laurendine, Keaton Laurendine; and great grandchild, Sophie Jo Ross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary Jo Nall Rainey.
Masonic rites will begin at 2:00 PM Monday, June 10, 2024, immediately followed by a funeral service at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY with Mark Ray and John Dale officiating.
Interment will be in Benton Church of Christ Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Collier Funeral Home.
