Gerald A. Sheehan,79, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in
Whitinsville, MA. He was born on September 9, 1946, in
Whitinsville, MA, the son of the late William and Doris (LeDuc) Sheehan. He was survived by his siblings, Cynthia A. Nichols of N. Smithfield, RI, Chester D. Sheehan and his wife Donna Scungio of Millville and David F. Sheehan and his partner Jeanette Lebel of Millville; two sons, John Sheehan and Robert Sheehan, both of Massachusetts and many loving nieces and nephews.
A man of many talents and interests, Gerald's career began at Bernat's Mill, where he honed his skills and work ethic. He later joined New England Instrument and later Honeywell Corp., where he was respected for his dedication and expertise. Gerald's professional life was marked by a commitment to excellence and a camaraderie with his colleagues that lasted a lifetime.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Gerry was a man of diverse passions. His love for photography allowed him to capture the beauty of the world around him, preserving memories and moments with a keen eye. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in the serenity of nature. Music was another source of happiness for Gerry; whether playing a little golf, singing his heart out during karaoke nights, or charming listeners with the harmonica, his love for melody was evident.
Gerry's playful spirit shone through his enjoyment of gaming systems, where he would immerse himself in virtual worlds and adventures. He also had a green thumb, particularly when it came to growing tomato plants, a hobby that reflected his nurturing character.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 11AM – 12 PM Noon in the Buma Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM Noon in the funeral home.
