Tanya M Shilling

Every minute we spent together was happiness. "Grandma Kay" was indeed my ""GRAND-Mother". She had no children of her own, when she married my "GRAND-Father" (My legal guardians), the people that saved me, the people that loved me unconditionally.... My 'Grampa' acquired custody of me at a very young age-((Something that I will ALWAYS be grateful for,) he raised me the way that only he could....A Marine, born in 1935, June 6th. He would drive 3 hours to one other other General Motors facilities to work a 12 hr shift to then drive 3 hours home....19 years he gave General Motors- they gave him a 4"X6" plaque as acknowledgement of his hard loyal leadership labor that he gave them without a bit of complaint, because he was the MAN in his family I ly, and he didn't need anyone's help. I learned from him the same morals, ethics, respect, the constant quest for knowledge, the unselfish, respect, offering all he could any kind of assistance he could, NEVER expecting anything in return, because he knew the true way to be a great strong-kind hearted man. The simple sayings he told me were ways of making me think, and establish the way for me to learn the correct way do do all acts.If it wasn't for the two of them, I'd not be the educated, experienced, jack of all trades "effective" individual that I am today. He taught me about respect, and trust, and his lessons still prove to be true.
