Gerald Spencer Obituary

Gerald Wayne Spencer, age 77 of Jones Mill, died Sunday, January 5, 2025 at his home.  He was born in Malvern on January 20, 1947 to the late George Spencer and Berta Pennington Spencer.  Reared and receiving his early education in Malvern, he graduated from Malvern High School with the class of 1965.  He later attended Henderson State University.  Gerald was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Navy.  He worked for Xerox Corporation for over 30 years.  Gerald attended Third Baptist Church.  He loved to hunt and fish, and to go camping.  Gerald enjoyed taking road trips with his wife.  He was the husband of Norma Del Monte Spencer, the love of his life, to whom he was married in 1970.
Gerald leaves behind his wife, Norma, of Jones Mill; a daughter, Penny Spencer Harp of Malvern; a grandson, Christian Harp, and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
A memorial visitation will be held from five until seven o'clock Wednesday everning, January 8, 2025, at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
