Gerald Patrick Thomas

Gerald Patrick Thomas was born March 28, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert and Madeline (Nee Koviak). He grew up in the Metro-Detroit area, and enjoyed 33 years working for Variety Food Service. He entered into rest April 2, 2017 at his home in Warren, Michigan. Gerald was known as "Jerry" by his work friends and "Pat" by his family, two halves of the same strong and adventurous gentleman. He was always willing to try anything and everything, from tinkering around the house to growing different flowers and vegetables in his garden. Pat even worked with stained glass and wood working for a while. He was a loving husband to Patricia for over 50 years, and a caring father to his six children. Family was extremely important to him. Gerald leaves behind his wife Patricia (Nee Michalak) and children Gerald Jr, Deborah (Jim) Bezjian, Janine (Mike) Handley, Lynn, Matthew (Amy Horgan), and Michael (Amanda). He also will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Ryan, Emma, Grace, Austin, Katelyn, Adam, Lauren, Tyler, Kara, Hannah, Ava, and Gabe, and his siblings Robert (Gene) and Darlene (Ronald). A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 15th from 11am until time of Service 12 noon, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, at Masonic (13 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren.
