Gerald Vallier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Generations Funeral Home & Crematory - Tomahawk on Mar. 13, 2026.
Gerald "Jerry" G. Vallier, age 86, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. Jerry was born on January 25, 1940, in Tomahawk, WI, to the late Guy and Susan (Laine) Vallier. He was married to Linda on January 8, 1966; she passed away in 2024.

Jerry graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1958. He proudly served his country in the United States Army before beginning a long and dedicated career in the local workforce, including positions at Nick & Sons Casket Factory and Viegut's, and later at the Tomahawk Mill, where he worked for many years before retiring in 2001. Jerry took particular pride in bulldozing the mill's logging roads across many acres of land. Even after retirement, Jerry stayed busy spending his days mowing town roads, hunting, fishing, and enjoying long walks around the community he loved. He cherished time with his family and his Yorkie granddog, Duke, and was known for his kindness, warmth, and acceptance of everyone he met.

Survivors include his son, Greg (Rhonda Bartelt) Vallier; his granddaughters, Erika Vallier and Kayli (Tim) Buffington; and his great-grandsons, Kade and Drake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Susan; his wife, Linda; and his sisters, Rosella Nichols, Nancy Morgan, and Geraldine Binder.

Jerry's family extends heartfelt thanks to Tomahawk Health Services and Aspirus Hospice for their compassionate care during his final days.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date. Generations Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family.
