Gerald Williams

I met Gerald one time when he played for Yankees. I'm a kid from Hoboken NJ very poor Puerto Rican kid he treated me like I was a super star gave me high five and took a minute to ask me where I was from and to stay in school. My condolences to his family a great Yankee.

To the family, many, many friends, and fans of this great person who played for the Yankees, Brewers, Braves, Devil Rays, Marlins, and Mets. Gerald Williams was a former Major League Baseball outfielder. He had a wonderful career in baseball. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Gerald Williams. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Gerald.

I met Gerald in Tampa when he was in the minor leagues with the Yankees. I neverr me a more discipline , intelligent, family oriented man. He always had a word of advice for you. What I remember most about him is him reading his Bible, learning a new word a day from the dictionary, singing Public Enemy's, "911" and me calling his mother to get her red beans recipe..it was an epic fail and he was not afraid to tell me..rest in peace G you are one of a kind.

Gerald was one of a kind. He always led by example. I always enjoyed our talks and his company when we were together. He left a legacy and his positive impact on my life will always be remembered. To a good friend, RIP Gerald.

Enjoyed watching Gerald play on his way to the majors in Rochester NY when he played for the Columbus Clippers. Always thought he was a talented player. Gone way too soon.
