The services celebrating and honoring the life of Geraldina Rivera Lynch will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday January 17, 2025, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Geraldina was born July 10, 1947, to Francisco and Teresa Mendoza Rivera in Cebu, Philippines and passed from this life January 10, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised and educated in the Philippines graduating with the class of 1963 from Abellana National High School. She went on to achieve her bachelor’s degree in education at Cebu Institute of Technology. She was a very talented singer and performed thru high school and college in the evenings. She met her husband Daniel Wayne Lynch Sr. in 1970 and was married on April 12, 1971, in Cebu, Philippines. The couple moved to California in 1973 following her husband’s military career. After his honorable discharge the couple moved to Beaver, Oklahoma until 1977, then Drummond and later Enid. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as a Nurse Aide for thirty-five years retiring in 2018. She enjoyed teaching cake decorating, cooking, gardening sewing, singing, playing the piano and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a spunky personality with a great sense of humor.
She is survived by partner of thirty years , Joselito (Jake) Mangollado, her children Gerda Weekley and husband John, of Marlow, Kirsten Lynch, of Enid, and Daniel Lynch Jr. of Enid; seven grandchildren, Kirstin, Sabrina, Kaylee (Rez), Summer, Daniel, Kaydence, and Charlotte, two great grandchildren Natalia and Olivia; and three sisters Alicia Mendoza, Vilma Endriques, and Mildred Rivera; and three brothers, Reynaldo, Cielito, and Rosendo Rivera.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Wayne Lynch Sr. and her parents Franciso and Teresa Rivera.
