Geraldine Adams Obituary
May 20, 1942 - Sept. 4, 2023
Geraldine "Jerry" A. Adams, 81, passed away Sept. 4, 2023, after a two-year illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William H. Adams, III; parents; brother, Gerald; and five half-sisters. She is survived by three siblings, Alvis Wilson in Texas, Jean White, and Oscar Wilson in Idaho; two daughters, Sherry Adams-Martin and Cindy Meriwether, both in Oregon; six grandchildren, Melissa, David, Mistina, Shane, John, and Ashley; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was born in Idaho and was high school sweethearts with Bill Adams they married in 1957. She worked as a manager and then many more years at Equifax Credit Bureau until it moved to Georgia. After she and Bill retired, they enjoyed ham radio, raising birds, photography and spending time with friends and family. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Jerry was a wonderful friend! She was extremely knowledgeable in all things regarding the care of birds, dogs and other animals. If you were a lost, hurt or sick animal, you would want Jerry to take care of you. You could always count on her for great advice in any situation. She is missed, but definitely heaven's gain!

Jerry was my very best friend, I couldn´t have asked for a better person. We had many long conversations on the phone. She was always there for me no matter what it was for. I will miss her for ever, but I have many happy memories with her.

I met her when she brought her husband in gif chemo treatments. I was his nurse. The three of us hit it off very well.

Jerry was a wonderful friend. She was creative and talented with many crafts. If you ever had a question about animals, you could trust that Jerry had the answer!! She had a heart of gold and was a fierce advocate for her friends and family. I will miss her very much.
