Geraldine Eder Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shadel's Colonial Chapel - Lebanon on Jun. 3, 2025.
GERALDINE A. EDER, age ninety, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at Northridge Place in Lebanon, Missouri.
She was born on October 16, 1934, in Athens, Wisconsin to Joseph and Gladys (Dygart) Brickheimer. Geraldine graduated from Athens High School. She was united in marriage to Howard Eder on June 16, 1954, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Athens, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death.
Geraldine enjoyed working in her father's cheese factory when her brothers went off to war. She loved telling stories about cheese making and enjoyed all types of cheese, especially cheese curds. She loved making jam and canning pickles. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Geraldine was a Green Bay Packers fan and became a Chiefs fan upon moving to Missouri. She enjoyed going to casinos to gamble and she loved playing board games, dice and card games with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing bingo with her friends at Northridge Place.
Geraldine is survived by her children, Charlene Hughes of Lebanon, MO, Randy Eder (Linda) of Mosinee, WI and Linda Radtke (Kevin) of Wilhoit, AZ; five grandchildren, Michael Hughes (Anne Liotti) of Kansas City, MO, Michelle Looper (Jeremy) of Greenville, TX, Kristy Eder of Weston, WI, Kali Eder of Wausau, WI and Jenilee Zentrich (Collin) of Kansas City, MO; four great-grandchildren, Jackson, Madison, Harrison and Emerson Looper, all of Greenville, TX. Geraldine is further survived by her sister, Joan Mader of Athens, WI and sisters-in-law, Susan Krieger (Michael) Audrey Eder and Shirley Drewek; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends, including special friends at Northridge Place.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard on August 4, 2015; son-in-law, Patrick Hughes; brothers, Harry, Bob and Don Brickheimer; and sisters, Beatrice Lesczenski, Margaret Revling, Dolores Placek, Arlene Horrigan, Mabel Schreindl and Helen Schillinger.
Heartfelt thanks to the staffs at Northridge Place and Good Shepherd Hospice for the professional and loving care received. They were all so loving and kind.
"Her love was endless, her kindness unmatched, and her strength an inspiration. She had a way of making everyone feel special. Her hugs felt like home and her advice was always wise. Her laughter could light up the darkest days.
She loved fiercely and gave selflessly. Though our hearts ache, she's at peace watching over us. Her legacy will live on in the love she poured into her family and the memories we'll cherish forever."
Per her request, there is no service planned for Geraldine.
At her request, her body is to be cremated under direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel.

Aunt Gerri, the first thing we see when we meet her, is that contagious smile, then the big hug! She was and always will be a special person in our lives. As my niece called her , the firecracker in the family, always lots of fun to be around. My mom and I always enjoyed our visits to wausau, to visit and go out to lunch with her.
My sympathy and prayers to her children and their families. Now she´s at peace with the love of her life. She is missed!
