Geraldine Marie "Gerry" Garner

Gerry was an amazing leader who moved people and organizations forward with gentle guidance and a GREAT sense of humor! She was an inspiration to me personally and professionally, and I will miss her daily!

Gerry was the epitome of professionalism, warmth and integrity. She was an essential part of our business. She provided not only spot-on technical guidance, but the wisdom and patience that made things work. We will miss her and extend our sympathies to Jerry and her entire family. Fondly, Brent & Aleen

I am also saddened to hear of Gerry's death. I enjoyed the time she and I spend together as teenagers in Richmond, especially CYO at St. Edward's as well as other teen activities.
The world has lost a real treasure.

My earliest memory of my little cousin was when she was the flower girl and I the ring bearer at Joe and Ann's wedding. Later we shared beach days, dances and parties and family gatherings as we grew. We ended up far apart after the old school days, but never distant. I will keep the memory of Gerry's sweet smile and her gentle ways with me forever. Knowing of her professional accomplishments touching so many lives makes the memory all the more precious. Though Gerry will be sorely missed, we can celebrate a life so well lived.

I consider myself honored to had the opportunity to work with Gerry.She was a reamarkable lady ,highly professional and devoted to the mission.Thousands of student benefit from her devotion to her mission.
I am so sad.
We will miss her.
A great Lady and great human being.
But as they say back in the old country will always live with us.
She will be always remembered.

Perhaps not in the phscial sense, but in every other way possible, and meaningful, Gerry was a women of immense stature. We are grateful to have known her and to have shared some wonderful times with her. She will be in our hearts forever.

To the Garner Family, especially Adrian and Richelle;
I'm sending my love to you guys, I can't imagine the sorrow you must be feeling in losing your Mom, Adrian. When I read her bio, I was so struck by the passion in her life, and for her deep feeling for others. Her heart and soul make her a stunning example of how to be a person in this world. I'm taking her example to work with me today as I begin my teaching residency here at University of Michigan.
