Geraldine "Geri" Mae Manka

Geraldine "Geri" Mae Manka, 91, of North Platte, NE, formerly of Scottsbluff, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025, at The Maples at Centennial Park in North Platte.

Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Rick Reisig officiating. Geri was born on October 8, 1933, in Scottsbluff, to George and Leah Hilzer. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School. Geri married Ralph Eugene Manka on June 6, 1952, in Scottsbluff. To this union two children were born, Robert and Kathie Jo. They were married for 68 years.

Geri worked for many years for the Scottsbluff Chamber. She also enjoyed her Bridge games with friends. She was a member of the Salem Congregation Church in Scottsbluff.

Geri was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; and daughter, Kathie Jo.

Geri is survived by her son, Robert (Cheryl) Manka, Sr. of North Platte; grandchildren, Robert Manka, Jr. and Jaimie Sue Manka, also of North Platte; and sister, Barbara (Dale) Mehs of Colorado Springs, CO.
