LINCOLN, Geraldine Rae Fisher Nute went to be with her Lord on September 10, 2025 in Lincoln. She was born March 13, 1943 in Waterville, ME., to the late Gerald Wilson Fisher and Iolene Louise Fisher of Clinton. Attending schools in Clinton and graduating in 1961 as salutatorian. After graduating from Thomas College in 1964 with high honors she went on to teach at Lee Academy until 1968. She served in several different capacities at her church but enjoyed teaching Sunday School for over twenty years. She was also involved in the local hospital auxiliary where she served for nine years as president and helped with the diabetic support group. She also taught sign language at the local school and church. Among her hobbies were ceramics, quilting and tole-painting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She and her husband, Paul Nute, were married August 22, 1965 and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. She also leaves behind one daughter Jolene Rae Maynard and her husband Harry C. Maynard III, two grandchildren, Sharlene Emily-Rae Foley and her husband Michael James Foley, and Devin Paul Maynard, and one great grandchild Abilene Melissa-Rae Foley.

She was predeceased by her parents, one daughter, Jennifer Gayle Bouchard, one granddaughter Leanna Elizabeth Maynard and her sister Elaine Elizabeth McCaslin.

Friends may call on Sunday September 14, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 and from 6:00 - 8:00 at Bowers Funeral Home Lincoln, 7 Lee Rd and on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 2:00 – 3:00PM with a funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM at the same location, with pastors Nate Speed and Scott Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Lincoln cemetery and the family invites those that attend to a time of food and fellowship at Maranatha Riverside Church following the committal services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Maranatha Riverside Church, 176 River Rd., Lincoln, ME 04457. To share condolences and memories online visit www.bowersfuenral.com
