Geraldine “Gerrie” Schulze, age 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on March 24, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1942 in Milwaukee to Harry and Lucille (Krzewina) Swiatkowski. She married her high school sweetheart, Gordon Schulze on October 14, 1961. Gerrie worked for Westinghouse Electric for many years eventually retiring as branch manager of the Madison location. After retirement Gerrie and Gordon moved to Holcombe, WI where they spent time on the water with lifelong friends, and enjoyed many trips to Turtle Lake and Hinckley casinos. They recently moved to Bloomer,WI in 2024. Throughout her life Gerrie enjoyed traveling the states, reading, cooking, baking, sewing, live music, trips to the casino, pontoon rides, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was very well known by all of her grandkids friends for her spaghetti and meatball dinners with homemade bread that she would lovingly make when they were all up at the lake.
She is survived by her husband Gordon of Bloomer, WI, children Donna (Jeffrey) Nagy of Eagle, WI, Richard (Brenda) Schulze of Colorado, Jodi (Brian) O’Rourke of Belleville, WI, David Schulze of California, and Jennifer (Steven Devine-Jelinski) Spaulding of River Falls, WI; 10 grandchildren Craig (Jenn), Dylan (Erin), Leean, Miranda, Kalin, Caden, Carys, Graden, Canon, Jax; and 3 great-grandchildren Connor, Blake, and Trace; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Lucille, and siblings Don, Edward, MaryAnn and Betty.
Private services will be held at a later date. Gerrie will be laid to rest at Union Grove Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bloomer, WI is assisting the family. Online condolences can be shared at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
