Geraldine Elizabeth Stevens, affectionately known as "Gerri", transitioned peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Brookdale Hamilton Assisted Living, surrounded by her family and cherished memories. Norman Sr. and Elsie Williams. Gerri grew up in
Allentown, NJ and she was educated Gerri was born on January 27, 1943, in
Allentown, NJ. She was the daughter of in the Allentown Public School system. She built a fulfilling career with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in
Princeton, NJ, where she served as an Administrative Assistant until her retirement in 2003. Gerri resided at 44 Lanning Street,
Ewing, NJ for many years before relocating to Brookdale Hamilton Assisted Living. Her professionalism, dedication, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her. Gerri was a woman of unwavering fait h, joyful heart, and a beautiful smile! She was an active member of Union Baptist Church of
Trenton, NJ, worked with the Women's Fellowship Ministry and Rites of Passage Mentoring program, Noon-day Bible study and Women's Bible study. Known for her vibrant personality, she delighted in spending time with her beloved girlfriends, enjoyed good conversation, shared laughter, especially loved shopping! Gerri was also known for her "sharp" dressing, always looked beautiful! She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Norman, Sr., and Elsie Williams; her devoted husband, Lorenzo Stevens, of 18 years; two sisters, Mary Harris and Lida Mae Lovett.
Gerri leaves a beautiful legacy of love to be carried on by her brother Norman Williams, Jr.; devoted daughters, Robin Pinkney (Keith), and Crystal Brown-Miles (Brendon); grandchildren, Antwan Pinkney, Chante' Hedrick (Jamel) Erica Richard- son (Shakhan), Brittney Pinkney Ny'Aisha Holland (Larry), Alexis Jolley-Brown (Nazimer), Miracle Boggs (Kaijohn); great-grandchildren Tyzanai, Jamel Jr., Nicholas, Zuree, Jahvier Brown, Nay'Robi Holland, Skyler Jolley-Brown, Nazari, Na-Zai Brown, and Jaylan Richardson. She also leaves to cherish her memory are her beloved godchildren, Sterick Ivey and Dionne E. Hackett-Abdus-Salaam along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and all whose lives she touched. Also, her loving, special care- giver Mary Strange and those at the Brookdale Assisted Living, John 14:1-3 -Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Union Baptist Church, Pennington Ave.,
Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery,
Ewing, NJ.
