Gerard Francis "Jerry" Conboy

My deepest sympathy to the Conboy family. I enjoyed working with Coach Conboy for many years at Point Park College. I will never forget his seventh floor Athletic Office in Lawrence Hall, but more importantly, how he treated his athletes. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Condolences to the Conboy family. Jerry and the family were highly supportive during my time as AD at Point Park from 2006-2018. I will never forget this. He was always the connection to the past at PPU with the stories and wisdom he conveyed to me personally and to the athletics program in general. He is and was a true Hall of Famer. His legacy will continue.

Well, my only claim to fame from SHCHS is that I was in the stands, with my fellow students, cheering Denny Coll and the rest of the team, and Coach Conboy- who also taught our class. ....and he was a "class act" all the way! I send warmest regards and condolences to a great guy---from across the miles in Santa Barbara, California! The photo- from ....da Burgh two weeks ago---we were back for a wedding!

To The Conboy Family:
You all have my sincere condolences. I only spent a little over a year with Coach Conboy and his presence around me and others was influential. I am appreciative of him recruiting me to finish my last year of college education and basketball. His success is something I will always marvel at. Take care and cherish his loving memories.

Tim, I'm so sorry to read about the death of your father. Prayers for you and your entire family. I got to know him when I danced at Point Park and he was a terrific man. I really liked him. The wonderful memories you have will help you during this painful time.

Condolences to the whole family, who I love so much. Coach Conboy was a critical person in my life. He and Pat helped me in so many ways. Big loss! I spent so much time with Coach, practicing with the PP team, going on team bus rides, going to basketball camp (which he never charged me for) at South Hills Catholic, going to Niagara hoops camp, going to Pittsburgh Condors games, going to the Big East tournament. I even got to help coach at PP for one year. A very positive person in my life.

As Waynesburg alumni Sandi and I remembered the great games he coached against Waynesburg.
We always reminisced about those games back in the 60´s. We got to know coach Conboy as a friend and as a fellow usher at St
Louise. He and Pat were always cordial and we looked forward to seeing them at church each week.
Coach Conboy was a fierce competitor but never had a bad word for anybody.

I was part of Coach´s first recruiting class at Point Park in 1969-1970. I had the privilege to coach with him during the 1972-1973 basketball season.
He was truly a great coach but more importantly an even better human being.

My condolences to the Conboy family. I fondly remember my first meeting with him in his role as AD at Point Park during the recruiting process. My father and I appreciated his words of wisdom...which led to 4 years at Point Park, playing women's basketball and graduating. Thanks Coach!

My condolences to the family od Coach Conboy. I attended many games at PPC and watched him coach as the Pioneers played.

Got to know Coach Conboy as a Freshman at South Catholic and was reacquainted when I became a student at Point Park. In the mid 1980´s, I spent a year as the Women´s Basketball Coach at Point Park. Coach was a fair and respectful man who loved his family and the game of basketball. God bless the "Conboy Clan" as you celebrate a life well lived,

I would like to offer my condolences to Jerry's family. I played for Jerry from 1971 to 1974. Those were some of the best years of my life. I appreciate the opportunity this experience provided for my career.
