I picked up Gerard from time to time to take him to and from work. He was hilarious . One of my favorite clients. I usually don't drive people who I don't like. Regardless of the money. I'll visit his grave this Summer 2024 . I dreamt him when I was in Trinidad taking care of my mom. After my wife told me he had died. So I couldn't go to his funeral. The good definitely die sooner. There's too many memorable moments to write about. I miss you friend and wish there were more people like you.

I worked with Gerard for years at Espeed. The friendship we formed will forever be with me. After 9/11 our group at Espeed preformed herculean tasks without regard for ourselves but in the name of the people and company we proudly represented. We were truly brothers in arms. I will be forever grateful for my time with him. The laughs we shared are with me today. To G's family I am truly sorry for your loss. If i can ever be of any help in any way please look to me, if the situation was reversed i know he would be there for my family. That was who he was. The world is less without him

I remember Gerard's smile and gentle demeanor. We shared some time together on a group retreat while at Regis and we were all assigned to go for a walk in pairs and discuss an assigned topic. I don't remember the topic but I do remember we soon began discussing our hopes, anxieties, and dreams for what seemed then to be an intimidating oncoming adulthood. That discussion stayed with me for all these years and although we lost touch after 1980, I am sure that the teenager I knew became a fine man, husband, and father. My sincere condolences to his family.

Gerard Phelan was not know to me, but I do recall his mother Peg. She as her devoted son, was a practicing Catholic and shared their love of Christ with others.
Thanks to Gerard for his many years of service as altar server at St. Agnes Church. This weekend I will remember Gerard and his parents at celebration of the Mass. May he rejoice at seeing the face of God.

Worked with Gerard for 8 years at Cantor. A better human I've not met. Kind and helpful, even in the midst of his own trials. Gerard will be missed.
