We are grateful to Pastor Bud and Shirley for "stepping out in faith" twenty-five years ago to start a ministry which provided a church service every Sunday at Magnolia Place Assisted Living in Bakersfield (then named Laurel Springs). Pastor Bud stated the mission of this ministry was "to bring encouragement with a message of hope." By God´s grace, the ministry they founded a quarter century ago continues today, with the same mission. It has blessed and enriched the lives of the residents who form the congregation there as well as the many volunteers who have served in this work over the years. Our prayers are with Shirley and her family, that they have "the peace that transcends understanding" (Phillipians 4:7) as they cherish Bud´s memory. We "do not grieve as those who have no hope" (1 Thessonians 4:13). And we also know that, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants" (Psalm 116:15). David & Susan Moore
