Gerold L. Brotzman

Gerold L. "Jerry" Brotzman, 79, of Quarryville, died at his home on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Jerry shared 61 years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Judith E. (Lefever) Brotzman.
Born and raised in Quarryville, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Mary (Schoch) Brotzman. Jerry and his brothers are the 9th generation of John Frederick Brotzman (1696 – 1760), who arrived in Philadelphia with his family on October 28, 1738, on the Bilander Thistle, settling on the east bank of the Delaware River.
Jerry was a graduate of Solanco High School, class of 1964. Jerry made a career as a Union Millwright, retiring in 2004 with 43 years of service. He was a member of Locals 59 of Lancaster, 287 of Harrisburg, and 214 of Lebanon. His last place of employment was Aycock LLC, working as a Millwright Supervisor at the Lancaster Kellogg's plant. Jerry was a Life Endowment member of the NRA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Barry Brotzman, husband of Janice (Weaver), of New Providence, a granddaughter, Deanna Brotzman, three step grandchildren, numerous step great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Brotzman, of Nine Points. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Lester, and Allen Brotzman.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, at Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, PA 17566, with a time of viewing from 10 AM – 11 AM. Pastor Blake Deibler will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Quarryville Cemetery.
