I have been all over this nation and else where and have listened to a lot of music and no one ever came close to the talent that Gerry had. We have lost a musical Starr of our time. RIP and with the sounds that made you the most Happy. Robin and Barb Peterson

The first time I met Gerry he came into Johnnys Loaf & Stein.
I saw him walking toward the restaurant and I thought he looked like my brother Jim (Da Deet da Deet). Gerry was an awesome guy. He also taught my sons Guitar. He gave my son Brian the confidence he so desperately needed. Thank you Gerry. He will be missed by so many. My condolences to Mary and the family.

The world has lost a true musical treasure. I'll bet Gerry gave guitar lessons to nearly 90 percent of the guitar players in the surrounding counties, myself included. I thought if I could just be 50 % of the player that Gerry was, I would consider myself to be a good player. ( I don't believe I made the grade) But he instilled the passion for music and guitars, and that has carried me through these many years. Measuring success in the field of music is subjective. My wife, Lea Jane and I still
play music at our church even at our age, but the retirement plan is awesome!!! Rest easy my friend, Dale and Lea Jane Burie
