We will truly miss you, Gerry. My heart goes out to all the family. I can remember you in San Antonio after a visit to the house. I can remember you playing softball and taking one on the cheek (softball, that is). My fondest memories are the times we just spent together as family in Garland. God bless you for all you have done for the good of Garland and your family in your lifetime.

Gerry was my Big Brother in the Kappa Alpha fraternity at SMU. I don't believe I have ever met a more kinder or upstanding person. He knew exactly what he wanted to do in life and did it - from graduating from SMU early to marrying the love of his life, Brenda to getting his law degree. You will be missed.

Gerry was a fair, honest, intelligent and witty gentlemen. He was polite to everyone. All of these characteristics made him unique. I am proud to say he was my friend.

Sorry to hear of Gerry. Went to school with him from the first grade until we graduated. Always admired how smart he was. I have not been in contact with him for years, but I knew he would have a big impact in everyone he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Prayers for his family.

I am so sorry to hear that Judge Cooper passed away. I treasured his friendship and kindness. I want his family to know that he was always such a warm and helpful colleague. He was by far the most helpful and approachable leader to a brand new attorney that relied on his support and encouragement. He was a good man that was just good to people.

Gerry was such a GREAT person. He was a man "everyone " looked up to. Smart, friendly, honest and loyal. I played softball with Gerry, bought a home from him and loved him. Gerry was someone you could count on. All the Coopers fit that. God called Gerry home! Gerry is missed already. He made an impact on my life and my family's lives. God speed my brother!
