Gerry Herdzik Obituary
Family was the center of her life, and she found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved. Those she leaves behind find joy in knowing she was reunited with her parents, John and Rose Vacanti and mother-in-law Jan Mikolajczak along with loved ones that went before her. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace, watching over them, and resting in God's eternal care.
She is survived by the love of her life of 38 years, Rick Herdzik, daughter, Cassie (David) Faucher and son, Jeremy (Maggie) Oakden, grandchildren, Joshua (Abby) Herlan, Leah (Jacob) Bianchi, Jake (Rachel) Herlan, Carley, Luke, Mary and Jack Oakden and great-grandchildren Avery, Frankie, Rick, Everett and Morgan, sister Patricia MacMurdo, nephew Keegan MacMurdo and niece Courtney (Joey) Dottore, father-in-law Mike "Pops" Mikolajczak, sister in law Donna Lang and nephew Bryan Lang and extended family and friends.
Gerry's final wish and last selfless act was to have her body donated to research at URMC school of medicine: therefore a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
