Gertrude "Trudy" Broderick

Gertrude "Trudy", nee Holst, Broderick, 89, of Whiting died Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Born in Hoboken, she resided in Elizabeth, and then Toms River and Manchester before moving to Whiting 23 years ago. She was an administrator for New Beginnings in Manchester. She enjoyed camping and driving their RV, especially to Florida, dancing to the oldies, volunteering for Contact Crisis hotline, and socializing. She was predeceased by her husband, Cornelius Broderick, son, Anthony Broderick, and sister, Catherine Wolf. Surviving are her son, James Broderick and wife, Vaike, sisters Gloria LaMorte and Laraine Bruen and husband Warren, grandchildren, Chelsea, Lauren, and Rockelle, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation is Sunday 2-4 PM with a 3 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.
