Gertrude Miles Ingram-Vines was born August 18, 1936 in Alamance County to Claude Miles and Naomi Martin Miles. Following a period of brief illness, she transitioned into eternal life on April 15, 2025 while being cared for by the staff of Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was a dear mother, grandmother, sister aunt and friend. She loved her family and enjoyed the many gatherings over the years. For several years, she resided in New York and was the Registrar with Pace University for a number of years. She was a devoted member of Emmanuel Church of Burlington, NC. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cherishing her life and celebrating her memory are: her children, Celeste Roundtree, Vernon Ingram and Marilyn Ingram; sister, Claudette Walker; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren to carry on her legacy; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
In her passing she now joins her parents and husbands, Jonathan Ingram and Leroy Vines; two sons: Angelo and Jeffrey Ingram as well as her siblings: Eugene "Bud" Miles, Henry Miles, Ray Miles, Viola Miles Bellamy, Doris Miles Pinnix, Allene Miles Day, Ruth Miles Day and Christine Miles Paylor.
