Gertrude Sophia Miller, 90, formerly of Burlington died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025, in Lombard, Illinois.
Born June 19, 1935, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Carl and Isabelle Walz Niemann. On Oct. 20, 1956, she married Gerald George Miller in Burlington.
Gertrude was a graduate of Burlington Catholic High School, Class of 1953. She was a longtime member of Divine Mercy Parish–St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She loved her family deeply and was a devoted wife and mother. Her love and kindness will be missed tremendously, but her memory will continue on through all who loved her.
Survivors include her children, Thomas (Frances) Miller and David (Julie) Miller; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, and her parents, Carl and Isabelle.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Divine Mercy Parish–St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Miller will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
