Gertrude Vastano Obituary

Mrs. Vastano worked as crossing guard in Westfield for many years before retiring.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony M. Vastano, who died in 2001. Surviving are her three sons, Anthony A. Vastano of Westfield, Frank J. Vastano of Oakland, CA and Robert H. Vastano of Clark; her brother, John W. Rybicki of Atlanta, GA; her sister, Helena Makranski of FL; and her cherished grandson, Michael Vastano of Westfield.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 13th from 4-8PM at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14th at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Westfield Rescue Squad, PO Boc 356, Westfield, NJ 07090.

Dear Robert Anthony and Frankie, my sincere condolences to all of you. Your mom was a dear sweet friend to all those who knew her. She loved her boys so much. My prayers are with all of you. Love Mrs Rose Marotta
